By: Alpin Haus Alpin Haus has released 5 fantastic tips that are guaranteed to aid you in your outings with the kids! Camping with kids is no easy task, but Alpin Haus is here to give you some points--keep them in mind! Also consider: RVs and boats, althought it's not tenting it, are ways to keep kids interested in camping. Sometimes the more comfortable the trip, the better the kids behave. A tent and a family radio might not intice their appreciation. When camping with children, it's best to keep in mind the basic necessities, the locations, the food, the activities and--of course--the safety! 1) Don't forget the necessities: -Hand washing station and paper towels. -A place to take shoes off outside the tent. We suggest getting welcome mats at your local dollar store. -Laundry bag. This makes it easy to separate dirty and clean clothes so getting dressed each morning is easy. -Bug spray. Kids will get cranky if they have critters all over them! 2) Location: Pick somewhere that you can take your kids swimming, fishing, or hiking. Or all three! 3) Food. -Having a grill is a good investment if you plan to camp frequently. It makes dinnertime that much easier. -S'mores! Can't have a campfire without them. 4) Activities! Your local dollar store can be a great resource to find toys. Bubbles -Chalk -Crayons and notepads -Catch lightning bugs in mason jars -take nature walks 5) Safety. Don't forget to explain safety precautions to your children about keeping food secure, open flames, etc. http://www.alpinhaus.com: have a great summer! End
