Maureen Pollock Joins Wick Phillips as COO

DALLAS - June 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Wick Phillips (http://wickphillips.com/), a full-service business law firm with offices in Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin, Texas, has named Maureen Pollock as its Chief Operating Officer. With nearly 20 years of financial management experience, Pollock will be responsible for running the daily operations of the firm, as well as for managing the company’s strategic growth and profitability.

Pollock spent the past six years working as Controller of Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP in Dallas. While Controller of the 700+ employee firm, she was responsible for managing the accounting department and the company’s ongoing financial operations. She oversaw the firm’s monthly financial statements, the annual budget, partner distributions, preparation of federal and state tax returns, and for forecasting and managing cash flow. Additionally, she developed and implemented an online expense reporting and invoice management solution to automate the firm’s accounts payable operations and control costs.

Prior to joining Gardere, Pollock spent 10 years as the Director of Finance/Chief Financial Officer at Baron & Budd, P.C., where she oversaw all aspects of financial and operational functions for one of the largest and most successful plaintiff’s firms in the country.
