Pro Auction will offer for sale by auction the complete contents of the The Preview Buffet Bar and the Carvery Company restaurants next to the Vue Cinema in Merlin Way, Cribbs Causeway following the closure on 30th June.

The auction sale will include the entire contents of the two restaurants to include furniture, the extensive commercial catering equipment, two bars and plant and machinery to suit every type of hospitality business. With over 600 lots to be sold at the auction, the sale is expected to attract interest from around the UK.

AGM Catering Ltd will surrender the lease at Cribbs Causeway to concentrate on their other growing businesses in the South West region. The closure follows an approach by the landlord Prudential to lease-holders AGM Catering Ltd who have held the lease for the last six years. There have been several approaches via the landlord over the past few years to take over the lease on this prime site.

Jon Edwards, Centre Director at Cribbs Causeway comments: “We can confirm The Carvery Company and Preview Buffet Bar will be closing at the end of the month, however we can also confirm that we are in advanced discussions with some exciting new names who we hope to bring to The Venue very soon as part of a wider investment programme. These plans will offer dozens of new jobs while bringing exciting new brands to Cribbs Causeway, and we look forward to announcing further details in the coming weeks.

AGM Catering Ltd Chief Executive Kerry Michael said: "Both of the restaurants we operate at Cribbs Causeway are our own independent, family-run businesses and over the years, we have been approached by Prudential who have had several large chains trying to get a presence at this prime location. Since we took on the lease our other business interests in the South West have grown enormously and we feel it is time to move on. We believe from our landlords that the current building will be split into three restaurants and that they have tenants already on board wanting to take space. We have taken this opportunity to consolidate our other businesses in the region and to focus on their continued growth."

The auction sale will take place from the site on 4th July commencing at 10.30am, viewing to inspect the equipment is offered on the 2nd and 3rd July between 10am and 4pm, and on the morning of sale from 8.00am.

Interested bidders who cannot attend can view the catalogue of the items to be sold, images and participate in bidding on the auctioneers site.
