WASHINGTON - June 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Power Design, Inc., one of the nation’s leading electrical contractors, sponsored the 5th Annual Ride for Jill’s House to benefit children with special needs.

Eric Lawton, superintendent, joined more than 150 motorcycle riders in the 100-mile trek from Manassas through Middleburg, Va. Proceeds from the event benefitted Jill’s House, a non-profit organization aiming to provide care and support to children with special needs and their families through overnight respite care.

“Thanks to Power Design for helping the kids,” said Lawton. “It was a great event for a worthy cause.” Since inception in 2009, more than 400 riders and volunteers have participated and helped raise over $100,000 to benefit Jill’s House.

Power Design supports the community through Project V5; a program in which the proceeds from scrap metal collected at jobsites is donated directly to local charities. This is Power Design’s way of giving back to the communities in which we work and is designed to help put our 5 values into action.
