“I pray for the families that are affected by the explosion at the Williams Olefins Plant. It is such a tragedy when someone is working to provide for their family and a tragedy like this occurs. I pray that God will sustain comfort to the families who lost a loved one. I claim a quick and speedy recovery to the injured. Sometimes bad things happen and we just don’t understand why. Circumstances arise that may make you uncomfortable and sorrowful. In these times is when we can turn to the never changing God. God does not do things to harm us but He does allow situations to come that can bring us closer to Him. He wants us to know that He is always there in a time of need and waits with His arms wide open to comfort and hold us until we are able to manage through our emotions.

Psalms 34:18 says, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” This scripture is given to remind us of where He is and what He does for those who turn to Him in a time of affliction. Always remember how much He loves you and cares for you.
