ATLANTA - June 18, 2013 - PRLog -- The kickoff event will be The Savvy & Social Tech Chat Soiree taking place at the Microsoft Retail Store at Lenox Mall on September 13, 2013 from 6-9pm. The Sassie’s Awards Festival has partnered with the Microsoft Store to create a screen to stream tech chat where women will discuss the importance of developing stories and other technology for the second screen.

“The Tech Soiree is designed to start the conversation with women of color to be adventurous and courageous enough to use digital technology to change their social and economic status. Challenging women of color to be creators of Digital Technology and not just consumers, says Rogers-Robinson.”

The Sassie’s Awards Festival begins September 12th and runs through the 14th in Atlanta, Georgia. The festival will host the previously mentioned tech chat panel discussion, hands on workshop, and screenings of submitted web series.

The Sassie’s Award Festival has decided to push open the door advancing the web-series revolution. I have been waiting on the opportunity to get involved with a project that is ground breaking, edgy, and goes full throttle in the creative arena." I am excited by the “New Digital Frontier” and as a woman of color I am definitely lending all that I can so that we are not left without a voice or stream of consciousness in this new age, says Arceneaux."
