Strong demand expected for former Tannochside industrial plant site

June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Ryden has been instructed by Ibstock Scottish Brick Limited to dispose of a 14 acre site at Tannochside, Uddingston. A former brick manufacturing/industrial plant is currently on site; however this is due to be demolished soon.  

The land is situated within an established residential area, well positioned for educational and leisure provision and has good public transport links. The site’s easy access to Central Scotland’s integrated motorway network makes it an ideal commuter locus.

Russell Rutherford, agent at Ryden handling the sale, comments: “The site is ideally positioned in a highly desirable residential area of Lanarkshire.  The Council supports this view, with a mind to grant consent for residential development, subject to a Section 75 Agreement.”

He added: “During the planning application process, which Ryden also managed, we were inundated with interest from a range of residential developers, keen to secure the land.  We therefore anticipate a strong level of demand for this site."
