American Artist John Ross Palmer Commissioned for Massive Mural in Sao Paulo

Escapism Founder John Ross Palmer has been commissioned by Sao Paulo Specialist and Art Aficionado Flavia Liz Di Paolo for a massive graffiti-style mural in the distinguished Morumbi neighborhood of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

HOUSTON - June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- On Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., renowned Artist John Ross Palmer of Houston, Texas USA will create a massive graffiti mural live in the distinguished Morumbi neighborhood of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Palmer, touring Sao Paulo for two weeks to complete his annual international art series, was commissioned by Art Aficionado and Sao Paulo Specialist Flavia Liz Di Paolo, the Artist's personal guide during his stay in Brazil's largest city.

Once each year, Palmer travels to a new international city to immerse himself in its culture and create a prized, very limited and unique art series based on the journey. In recent years, he has produced powerful bodies of work from Berlin (2010), Dublin (2011) and Jerusalem (2012). Palmer is supported on his art mission by a prominent and prestigious art collecting group known as the First Class Club. The ten elite members each craft an essay that direct Palmer, in some form, on where he should travel. This year, the winning essay determined that his series should focus on the emotion of "surprise." Palmer enacted a true surprise, with the detailed help of Di Paolo, by arriving in the beautiful city of Sao Paulo on Tuesday June 11th--after falsely promoting a trip to Shanghai since January.

Palmer's graffiti mural in Morumbi will embody Escapism, the name given to both his primary art style and his Art Movement. The Art Movement of Escapism is devoted to forever destroying the stereotype of the struggling artist. Palmer teaches artists business techniques and how to be a success through their selection into his highly-sought-after Escapist Mentorship Program. Escapism, the art style, is a combination of vibrant abstract work with a small number of realistic triggers to help ease the admirer into the world of the abstract. For Artist John Ross Palmer, Art is Healing.
