The Dylan Thomas Centre celebrates the achievements of this year’s entrants into the £1000 Terry Hetherington Award for writers under 30 on Friday, 21 June at 7pm.

SWANSEA, Wales - June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- The Dylan Thomas Centre celebrates the achievements of this year’s entrants into the £1000 Terry Hetherington Award for writers under 30 on Friday, 21 June at 7pm.

Winners Joao Morais (first), Natalie Holborow and Sion Tomos Owen (joint second) will be among those who read.

Their work will again be published by Parthian in the latest volume of Cheval which will be launched on the night.

The award was set up in 2009 in memory of the late poet Terry Hetherington. Its popularity has grown since its inception, and previous winners have gone from strength to strength; Jemma King, for example, will launch her debut collection at the Dylan Thomas Centre on Thursday 27 June.

2014 will mark the centenary of the birth of Dylan Thomas in Swansea and a series of events are being planned to commemorate one of the world’s greatest poets.
