Camel & Ostrich Racing Makes Its Return to the Meadowlands Racetrack.  For the second time, animals other than horses will race across the finish line at the Meadowlands!  Camels & Ostriches will compete at the Meadowlands Racetrack onSaturday, June 22.  The exotic animals will race in between the live harness racing.  The first event will take place after race six (8:51 pm) and the second event after race ten (10:08 pm).   The evening will feature a The Arabian Nights theme at the track includes Middle Eastern food, and a performance by world-renowned belly dancer Amira Mor and her dance troupe.

About the Meadowlands Racetrack

The Meadowlands Racetrack has been home to the world’s greatest harness racing and world-class dining and entertainment since 1976.  Located just 10 minutes outside New York City, the track hosts the sport’s premier event, the Hambletonian, as well as a full slate of harness and thoroughbred simulcast action.  The Meadowlands Racetrack was privatized in 2011 and is operated by Jeff Gural’s New Meadowlands Racetrack LLC.
