Arlington Heights Ford Raises Funds for Employee's American Cancer Society Chicago Marathon Run

June 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Arlington Heights Ford is maintaining their strong commitment to give back to their community by helping dealership technician Scott Jobst raise the money he needs to run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Oct. 13 as part of the American Cancer Society’s DetermiNation team. Originally, Jobst began running a year ago just to get back in shape. He soon made the decision to take on the challenge of running the Chicago Marathon, but also wanted to raise money for a worthy cause that was close to his heart.

“I decided that I wanted to run the Chicago Marathon, and I wanted to do it through the American Cancer Society because both my parents passed from cancer,” Jobst said.

Focusing on running the marathon in his parents’ honor helped Jobst get through the difficult training process.

“As the running got harder, I just started to think of my parents more when I would run just to focus on that instead of trying to run,” said Jobst. “And it would seem to help me get through a tough part of a run.”
