Beyond Capital Fund At The United Nations For “Social Innovation Summit 2013”

The Social Innovation Summit 2013 was a private,

invitation-only forum that explored “What’s Next?”

in the world of Social Innovation.

Taking place at the United Nations in New York

City, the summit served to connect a global

network of leaders to discuss the key strategies

and business innovations creating social

transformation across corporate, investment,

government, and non-profit sectors.  

Participants included hundreds of top Fortune 500 corporate executives, venture  

capitalists, government leaders, foundation heads and social entrepreneurs eager

to discuss global challenges, to analyze innovative approaches for problem-

solving, and build lasting partnerships which enable them and their organizations

to maximize their social impact.  

Social Innovation Summit speakers included Glenn Close, Actress/Producer,

Trillium Productions Inc., Co-Founder Bring Change 2 Mind; Daniel Epstein,

CEO, Unreasonable Group; and Zeenat Rahman, Secretary John Kerry’s Special

Adviser on Global Youth Issues, U.S. Department of State.

Subject matter topics included, “Fearless Philanthropy: Maximizing Investment

Dollars Through Technology” and “Shifting a Generation From ‘Me’ To ‘We’.” An

especially effective presentation was delivered by Professor Adam Grant,

Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and  author of the bestselling book,

“Give and Take: A Revolutionary Approach to Success.” Professor Grant spoke

in great depth for practicing the principles associated with “giving vs. getting” and

garnering further advocation within his audience to “Give More” for true success…
