June 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Howard County, MD - The Howard County Farmers' Markets are pleased to welcome two additional wineries to sell wine at two of the Howard County Farmers' Markets.  Two Maryland wineries - Crow Vineyard and Winery and Linganore Winecellars - will join Elk Run Vineyards who started selling wine at the Howard County Farmers' Markets June 6.

Crow Vineyard and Winery, located in Kennedyville on Maryland's Eastern Shore, makes and sells Rosé, Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc and Sparkling Vidal Blanc.

"Amongst the variety of wines offered, such as Rosé and Chardonnay, Crow Vineyard’s most popular is the Vidal Blanc. Winner of a Maryland Governor’s Cup medal, this dry premium style wine is a signature of the winery," notes Hafsa Siddiqi of Maryland Life Magazine. "They also make a hand crafted sparkling Vidal Blanc, to add a little something extra to the popular wine."

To sustain their third-generation farm, Judy and Roy Crow, opened a farmstay Bed and Breakfast in their newly renovated 1847 farm house in 2010. The Crows also host wine dinners as well as weddings on their family's 365-acre farm where they also produce grass-fed beef.

Crow Vineyard will be selling their wines at the Howard County Farmers' Market on:

- Thursday, June 27, Howard County Library - East Columbia Branch, Columbia

Additional dates may be set to have Crow Vineyard sell wine at the Howard County Farmers' Markets this farmers' market season.

Located in Frederick County, Linganore Winecellars, is a family operated vineyard and winery nestled on 230 acres of picturesque rolling countryside, 4.5 miles northeast of historic New Market, Maryland.  A three-time 2012 Maryland Govenor's Cup medalist, Linganore Winecellars will present a selection of Dry, Sweet and Fruit wines from their offering of 29 varieties.

Established by Jack and Lucille Aellen in 1971, Linganore Winecellars operates a sales/tasting room in the lower level of their restored 19th century bank barn. In addition, Linganore Winecellars features rustic yet sophisticated indoor event facilities as well as scenic outdoor event facilities that will suit anyone’s style. The secluded setting, surrounded by beautiful vistas, rolling hills and a serene pond, lends itself to romantic weddings, unique corporate events and social gatherings year-round.
