Vital Warrior’s “Healing Games” Celebrity Golf Tournament To Help Veterans with PTSD

LOS ANGELES - June 13, 2013 - PRLog -- This Fall 2013, Vital Warrior will host its 1st Annual “Healing Games” Celebrity Golf Tournament at Coto de Caza Golf & Racquetball Club in Orange County, CA. Proceeds from the event will benefit the first in Vital Warrior’s core missions.

The first in a series of “Healing Games” to come, the Golf Tournament is set to commence with a 9 am registration, with tee-off at 11 am. Guests will have the chance to meet and mingle with celebrities participating in the tournament. In addition, special items will also be auctioned off with proceeds going towards Vital Warrior. An awards ceremony and recognition dinner will be held upon completion of the tournament.

A Non-Profit Organization, Vital Warrior helps Veterans and Civilians with non-pharmaceutical methods in dealing with Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD).  Founder, Mikal Vega, a retired Navy SEAL Chief developed the program while dealing with his own personal battle with Post Traumatic Stress and a mild Traumatic Brain Injury (http://www.vitalwarrior.org).

“I was on so many prescription drugs for this or that. Nothing was working. The drugs nearly killed me. I knew I had to find a better way” Mikal has repeatedly shared. Mikal was first introduced to Yoga, then through the testing of other natural healing services came up with an 8-step program called modalities that help an individual regain a sense of self by Reconnecting From Within – which happens to the be the Org’s motto.

The goal of Vital Warrior is to reach out to as many people in needs of its services as possible. Mikal can personally attest that it works. He is completely off of prescribed medications and sticks to a strict regimented schedule of self-healing through Yoga, exercise and meditation. Not only are the lives of the individual struggling with Post Traumatic Stress bettered, but their loved ones, friends and family can once again reconnect with that person in a more understanding manner.
