Follow on Google News | Steam on Queen: Toronto's 2nd Annual Steampunk Street Fair“Steam on Queen” Toronto’s Annual Steampunk Street Fair returns, featuring vendors, costume enthusiasts, tea, and live entertainment.
By: Canadian Steam Productions Last year’s inaugural event attracted 4500 attendees from confirmed Steampunk folk, curious passing tourists and Torontonians coming to see what Steampunk is all about. Featuring local vendors and entertainers and their take on the Steampunk genre, visitors again are invited to shop the unique wares while the Campbell House Museum's Lemonade Garden provide refreshments made on site in the museum's Georgian era kitchen. This year’s “Steam on Queen” will feature costumes, entertainment, refreshments and handicrafts, family-friendly amusements and this year’s feature will be Tin Type Studios, who will be set up to take and develop authentic tin type photographic portraits. Admission to “Steam on Queen” is free. Tours of Campbell House Museum will be conducted throughout the day. Performances by Prof. Archibald Floss & Dr. Charlotte Tann of Mental Floss Sideshow (performing “Acts of Wanton Stupidity!”), Dragonfly Bellydance, Nero's Fiddle (formerly the Twillingham Ladies Chorus), Troupe Obskurah, and aerial acts of daring-do by the Flying Arts Collective.
