Author of Black Romance Enters Fifth Week on Amazon Top 100 Best Seller Lists

All For Love, the latest eBook by award winning novelist Raynetta Manees, has remained on two Amazon.com Top Best 100 Best Seller lists since its May 14, 2013 release. The print edition was a finalist for the Best Contemporary Ethnic Romance of 1996.
 
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - June 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Suppose your man was the biggest superstar in the world? That is the premise of All For Love, the latest release by award winning author Raynetta Manees. Since its release in mid May, 2013 the book has been continuously on two Amazon.com top 100 best-seller lists for multicultural and African-American romance fiction.

The 2013 release is the digital edition. The print edition of the novel was released in 1996, and was a finalist for the best contemporary ethnic romance of that year by the Affaire de Coeur magazine reader poll. The AOL review of the book said, “This wonderful novel delves beyond the glamour and glitz, reminding us that stars are people just like we are, and are entitled to be treated like people.”  Romantic Times.com says of the book, “Raynetta Manees has written a warm, loving romance with the consummate skill of a veteran novelist.”

All For Love is the story of widowed,single-parent businesswoman Angela Delaney, who literally collides superstar Darryl Bridges in a hotel corridor.  Darryl calls later that day to make sure Angela is all right, and the fireworks begin. The book explores the seldom addressed down side of fame, and how it hampers and blocks normal human relationships for those with the mixed blessing of superstardom.

Manees has six published print novels. Her thriving career as a novelist was brought to a sudden halt in 2002 by severe illness, including a stroke. However by 2012 Manees had recovered sufficiently to resume her writing career. Manees has updated four of her print books, and they have been re-released in digital editions. Manees’ 2012 releases were Follow Your Heart, a Christian romance novel; All The Way Home; and Wishing on a Star.

Manees’ niche is writing romance novels about people in the entertainment field, which reflects the author’s personal background and experience.  Manees holds a bachelor of arts degree in Mass Communications from Wayne State University in Detroit.  She has been an actress, singer, reporter, and an on-air radio personality on AM 1180 in Lansing, MI.  Manees was also for two years on the Board of Directors of the Riverwalk Theater in Lansing Michigan.

In her books the characters have been singers, actors, directors, songwriters, stand-up comedians, pianists, and public speakers.  In in one of her books, Heart of the Matter, the public speaker is an elected official, the woman mayor of a major city.

Another characteristic of Manees’ books is her penchant for variety in her heroines, which she refers to as “equal opportunity beauty.”   The dedication to her book Fantasy states, “This book is dedicated to every woman who has ever felt self-conscious about her size.  Outer beauty comes in all sizes, shapes, heights, ages, and colors.  And inner beauty will always shine through, no matter what the packaging.”  Manees’ books feature heroines that are very tall, very tiny, and plus size.  In her book All The Way Home, the heroine is a size 18 grandmother.

Manees is currently involved with several new projects. Her next book release will be the updated digital edition of her book, Fantasy, which takes place on a cruise ship.  The book is scheduled for release in September. Additionally, Manees is working on her first non-fiction book which will detail her personal experiences with Alzheimer’s disease. Manees is also working on her next print novel.  This book, which will be Manees' seventh book in print will feature an opera star heroine.
