DEAL, U.K. - June 7, 2013 - PRLog -- As the great weather arrives it makes sense to plan your holidays and Delpech Travel Promotions pass on some tips about where to go and how to get the most from your break.

It is worth noting that during popular festivals it can be quite hard getting space in hotels and arranging travel. Sites like http://www.shortbreakmarket.co.uk are able to take the strain out of booking and can advise on availability and the best times to travel.

Choosing late departure times from the UK can save a substantial amount on your booking and it can sometimes be easier to get a hotel room if you are making a booking for a few extra nights.

Paris is a popular destination with tourists and is considered to be the world's city of romance. During summer the city comes alive with many brightly coloured and diverse festivals tapping into a rich seam of cultural heritage.

You'll find there are many festivals from June to August in Paris. The Short Break Market lists a few popular festivals and events in Paris during these summer months you might like to put on your shortlist.

20th march to 29th June you have the Festival of the imagination located in the Musée D'Orsay Saint Germain des Prés area. This event runs from 7:00 to 22:30 each day. On the 8th June in this same area you have the Paris Jazz Festival from May 16th to June 3rd. The Jazz festival is spread out over 20 different venues so you are sure to find something of interest.

On the 21st June you'll have the Fête de la Musique another exciting, colourful and lively street music festival. All musical tastes are catered for from niche folk acts and regional music to heavy thrash metal and everything in between. You can download the official program online and see which performers you should put on your shortlist.

The Paris Plages is a novel event held this year from 20 July to the 18th August. Three areas of France are transformed into beaches! This has to count as one of the most original event concepts around. You can't beat taking a swim in a Pool which has been suspended over the Seine! Expect palm trees, sand, water and lots of sun shine!

July the 14 is an important date as France celebrates the Fete National Bastille Day! There are lots of day and evening events laid on for this event with fireworks, fire stations are open to the general public offering various forms of entertainment and there will be dancing and a military parade.

Most events have online schedules and programs you can download. The large events are made up from many smaller events so it pays to do your research and make sure you are in the right place at the right time.
