Follow on Google News | USB Sensors And Devices Can Now Be Controlled By LabVIEWLabVIEW may now be used to control USB sensors and devices through the Human Interface Device built into Windows to simplify the interface and eliminate all Microsoft driver certification requirements.
LabLinkUSB VIs adds forty-one LabVIEW VIs to support all Silicon Laboratories USB MCUs. However, only three VIs are normally required: Super OPEN establishes a connection between the PC and the USB device; Super REPORT sends and receives data and control information using simple tables or clusters; and, Super CLOSE terminates the connection. This methodology simplifies the USB interactions and lets you concentrate on the details of your LabVIEW program. FlexAble Systems offers several products for learning and using USB with LabVIEW: LabLinkUSB VIs is the set of VIs that interface to the USB through the HID with LabVIEW examples [$99] HID Explorer is a program for USB exploration, learning and testing [$49] LLU Accelerometer is a tri-axial accelerometer and LabVIEW program for experimenting with the USB and can be used as a mini-development system [$99]; USB ToolBox is a USB development platform for program development and testing with built-in USB connector and ProtoBoard for custom circuitry [$99].
