Chrysler Canada Celebrates a 24 Year High in May Sales

REGINA, Saskatchewan - June 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Crestview Chrysler in Regina (http://www.crestviewchrysler.ca/about-us/) recently announced that Chrysler Canada is in its longest sales growth streak in its history, with 42 consecutive months of sales increases. This record also came during the highest May sales ever in 24 years. The May 2012 sales were 26,218 vehicles sold, and the May 2013 sales numbers were 29,249, which is a 12% growth. May 2013 ranked as one of the top ten highest sales months in Chrysler Canada’s long history of 88 years.

Individual record setting sales numbers were set for the Chrysler Town and Country minivan, the Ram truck, the Dodge Avenger, and the all-new Dodge Dart.

Passenger vehicle sales increased by 24% in May 2013 compared to May 2012, due in part to the 2013 Dodge Dart (http://www.crestviewchrysler.ca/new-inventory/dart/), Chrysler’s all-new compact car. The Dart has been available for less than a year, and it increases sales every month, with 1,134 units sold in May 2013, which was its best month since its debut.

Minivans by Chrysler are also hugely popular recently in Canada, with units bought not only by families but also by drivers of all ages. The Dodge Grand Caravan and the Chrysler Town and Country both offer value, innovation, and versatility, which makes them top choices for many drivers. The Grand Caravan is the best-selling minivan in Canada, with units of this model comprising over half of the minivan market share.

Also performing well for May 2013 were the Jeep SUV models. The Patriot and the Compass were both increased by 28% over their 2012 sales. The Jeep Wrangler remains the top-selling compact SUV in Canada, and the Grand Cherokee became the top-selling full-sized SUV.

May 2013 was also a great month for Ram trucks. Ram is the second highest selling brand in Canada, with almost 300 vehicles to its name. The much awarded Ram 1500 model increased 22% compared to May 2012.
