Italian artist Luciano Celli Tancredi exhibited at the American Consulate in Hamburg

June 4, 2013 - PRLog -- The Italian Artist Luciano Celli Tancredi exhibited his painting ‘San Francisco’, on Independence Day 4th of July 2012, at the American Consulate in Hamburg.

The year 2012 celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and the painting was warmly received at the Consulate, presented by the artist’s daughter - Barbara Celli, in the Consulate’s courtyard, before more than 400 official guests and Consul General Mrs Inmi Kim Patterson.

Whilst the bridge’s birthday celebrations in San Francisco were held on May 27th this year, in Hamburg the occasion of the 4th of July seemed perfect to celebrate the occasion in European style.

The artist could not be present, due to engagements in his native Italy, but when asked what the opportunity represented for him, he replied: “As an artist I was always fascinated by the magnitude and elegance of the sculpture called “Golden Gate Bridge” and its colour, so aptly called “International Orange”.

The painting, together with a collection of 10 others, just recently exhibited in Cannes during the Cannes Film Festival 2012 at Villa, will soon be displayed again in a private gallery in the city of Hamburg and then travel on to California.
