INDORE, India - June 4, 2013 - PRLog -- LENOVO-MTV CO:LAB ANNOUNCES KARAN BEDI FROM INDIA AS ASIA PACIFIC’S MOST TALENTED MUSICIAN AND ONE OF THE FINAL FOUR REGIONAL CHAMPIONS!

Winner will receive US$10,000 and embark on Singapore trip to participate in exclusive five-day workshop to create an original MTV music video

INDIA, 3 June 2013 – The results are in! Following a thrilling three-month journey, Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB (http://www.project-colab.com/) participant, Karan Bedi from India, has battled it out against 28 country winners across Asia Pacific to emerge as the region’s most promising Musician with his project Guitar Drumming. As one of the four regional champions from the seven participating Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB countries, Karan will be awarded US$10,000, travel to Singapore to participate in an exclusive five-day workshop to create an original MTV music video. In addition, he will also get the versatile and stylish Lenovo Ideapad Yoga machine. During the workshop, he will receive coaching and work with regional mentors including acclaimed contemporary design and art collective, PHUNK and renowned international DJs, Brendon P (The DJ Dispensary) and Matty Wainwright (The DJ Dispensary).

Karan emerged as the winning participant for his stand-out project submission portraying the theme ‘Pulse of Your City’. From a total of 212 submissions and 28 country winners, Karan displayed exceptional craft, skill and creativity in the campaign, which was launched on February 25, 2013.

Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB is an integrated social platform that enables Millennials from across India, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, to share stories about their communities through music.

Karan’s 8:18 minutes long project on Guitar Drumming is a true reflection of the ‘Pulse of his City’ – New Delhi. The melodious notes capture New Delhi’s cultural essence as well as the vibrancy of the modern city.

The additional Lenovo-MTV CO:LAB regional champions include Yuji Mitsuhashi from Japan who was awarded for his Film – making project, Ron Roumsub from Thailand  for his Motion Graphic Artist presentation and Nick Chan from Singapore for his DJ project.
