Godly Virtuous Women Will Empower A Community Of Women With Their Annual Conference

BRUNSWICK, Ga. - June 4, 2013 - PRLog -- The Godly Virtuous Women in collaboration with First Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church will hold their annual “Women’s Empowerment Conference” on June 27th – 30th located at 2004 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Brunswick, GA 31520. Focusing on the strengths of women, this four day fun-filled conference will include a musical conference, fashion show, workshops and luncheon and a Sunday service full of praise.

Founded by Tammy Fields, the First Lady of First Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church, the Godly Virtuous Women concentrates on strengthening women, families, and relationships within each other in order to be a Godly and Virtuous Woman.  Bonded together with a purpose, Godly Virtuous Women are “Here to Serve and Not to be Served.”  By supporting women from ages 18 yrs. and up who are single, married and/or widowed, Lady Fields felt that she wanted to do more than just support her community of women, she wanted to give them a purpose of understanding and let them know that they too could live a Godly and Virtuous life.  “As the First Lady of the Church, God used me as a vessel in order for this vision to come to fruition and it is our job within the Church to encourage the women of the Body of Christ to reach this Godly goal,” says Fields. Committing themselves to women, GVW stems from the Bible Verses in Proverbs 31: 10-31 with a strong reflection on Verse 30 stating ‘Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.’

During this four day Women’s Empowerment Conference, patrons will be able to enjoy a musical concert on Thursday that will include Jessica Rogers, KaTonya Mullins, True In Praise, The Leggett Sisters and more. On Friday there will be a fashion and food for the soul event that will include a ceremony from Charlene Carter. Saturday includes workshops, a luncheon and a community fair of vendors and Sunday there will be a church ceremony of 100 Men in Black and 100 Women in White at First Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Throughout the conference, there will be guest appearances from Dr. Charmaine Ramsay-Thomas, Valerie Glover, Vivian Mitchell, Ella Brown and more. This will be one powerful weekend.
