ATLANTA - June 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Mark SQuared Studios is pleased to bring back the popular poetry based musical The Carousel written, directed and scored by Herbert Bowens Jr for a limited engagement of 2 days only, opening on July 27, 2013. A talented cast of new and veteran actors help answer the question “What happens when you leave your longings unattended?” Tickets range from just $20 to $45 per show.

Mark SQuared Studios was proud to present the premier of Herbert Bowens Jr. The Carousel in April of 2013, where the show delighted sold out crowds. This fantasy based musical transported the audience to a dream world that entertains, inspires and motivates. People left saying wonderful things about the effect the story had on them. ”This play confirmed a lot of things for me personally and it has given me absolute inspiration to progress forward in achieving my personal endeavors.”

For those who missed the show the first time around, the return of The Carousel to The Balzer Theatre at Herren’s is an opportunity to see a production that changes minds. The Carousel tells the story of Cierra - a creative young woman who can't seem to live up to her full potential - when she is transported to The Carousel, a magical place for unfulfilled dreams. While discovering The Carousel, Cierra meets Ma Stanza and other Carousel inhabitants who inspire her to finish what she starts, believe in her dreams, and fight to find her voice in life. However, before she can return home, Cierra must utilize her poetry and rhyming skills to outwit a poetry slam team in the most critical and challenging battle of her life. The Carousel combines elements of music, poetry, and dance to portray its dynamic story.

The Carousel opens July 27th and runs through July 28th. The run will include 3:00 pm matinees and 7:00 pm performances on both days. Doors open one hour prior to showtime. Tickets are $20 for children under 18, $30 general admission, $25 general admission tickets are available in limited supply, $35 at the door and VIP tickets are available for $45.
