Parker Poe Names Scott Shail as Partner

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - June 3, 2013 - PRLog -- CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced today that Scott A. Shail, an attorney in the Firm’s Charlotte office, has been named a Partner.

Mr. Shail joined Parker Poe in 2010 as Special Counsel. He works with lenders, manufacturers and other credit providers in negotiating and documenting loan restructurings, foreclosures, distressed debt trading, bankruptcy, reorganization and creditors’ rights. He also represents clients in various transactional and litigation matters.

Previously, Mr. Shail served as internal counsel at Wells Fargo & Company for more than seven years, advising clients who managed distressed commercial loan portfolios. Before he joined Wells Fargo, Mr. Shail practiced at an international law firm in Washington, D.C., concentrating on bankruptcy matters.

Mr. Shail earned his BS from Appalachian State University in 1993 and his JD from the University of Baltimore in 1999, where he graduated magna cum laude.
