Follow on Google News | Win a One of Two Motorcycles at Carlisle Bike Fest in 2013Guests at the 2013 Carlisle Bike Fest, July 19-21 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds can take a shot onsite at winning one of two motorcycles, a Kawasaki or a Harley Davidson.
By: Carlisle Events The giveaway bikes are both 2012 models and come courtesy of two of our event partners, Appalachian Harley-Davidson and Koup's Cycle Shop. Both are located in nearby Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and both have been long-time supporters of Carlisle Bike Fest. Appalachian Harley-Davidson not only provides a bike but also offers an onsite dealer mall, and Koup’s, in addition to providing a bike, is the proud sponsor of the onsite burnout competition. Speaking alphabetically by company name, the giveaway Harley from Appalachian Harley Davidson is a 2012 Sportster Seventy-Two XL1200V. This bike is a bare-bones radical custom. From front to rear, the Seventy-Two sports a bold, vintage look that recalls classic bobbers and the styling of 1970s choppers. With its big flake paint, peanut tank, round retro-style air-cleaner cover, ape-hanger handlebars and brilliant whitewalls, the Sportster Seventy-Two boasts a one-of-a-kind custom style that's full of attitude. The Harley Seventy-Two is a masterful mix of vintage bobber and contemporary retro-chopper styling. Its powerful Evolution engine gives it impressive road muscle. The XL1200V's big flake paint on the fuel tank is eye-catching, expressive and of the highest Harley-Davidson quality. The bike also comes with dealer installed Vance and Hines Short Shot Pipes, air cleaner kit and race tuner. For Koup's and their contribution to the weekend, enthusiasts can take a shot at a 2012 Kawasaki EX250R Ninja Special Edition. With its smooth power delivery, low seat height and excellent value, the Ninja® 250 has all the vital elements to make it the perfect first sportbike. Powered by a compact liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine, this Ninja sportbike pleases both ends of the experience spectrum — seasoned riders appreciate the Ninja’s extra highway passing power compared to other bikes in the 250 class, while beginners love the smooth torque delivery at lower speeds. With superior highway performance and aggressive supersport bodywork, the Ninja 250 is a perfect way to get started as a rider or makes a great addition to the collection of someone with two-wheeled experience. "It's very exciting to partner once again with Appalachian Harley-Davidson and Koup's Cycle Shop," said Associate Director of Business and Event Development Ed Scholly. "These two great businesses have been with us since day one of Carlisle Bike Fest and have played a key role in the overall development and growth of this event. We're very happy to see them continue to support the hobby and celebrate Carlisle Bike Fest by presenting the opportunity to win a bike. I encourage everyone to help keep the hobby strong by supporting these two brands and spending their weekend at Carlisle this July." Hopeful winners can sign up onsite during the event.
