Acclaimed Writer Launches Indiegogo Campaign For Thrilling New Graphic Novel

BOSTON - June 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Teresa Schaeffer, screenwriter and co-founder of Willow Road Entertainment, is readying the release of her first graphic novel, The Ravenmocker, an adaptation of a previously acclaimed screenplay. To help fund the production and release of this thrilling story, Schaeffer has launched an crowdsourcing campaign through Indiegogo that offers backers a number of rewards for their contribution to the campaign.

With a goal of $15,000, the funds raised will go towards adapting the finished screenplay to graphic novel format by working with a noted illustrator, marketing and publicity, and publishing the first edition of the novel. Once the project is funded and released, 10% of sales revenue from the graphic novel will be donated to the CJD Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting research and providing support for families affected by Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, a rare prion disease that Schaeffer's mother battled. She passed in 2005. Schaeffer is dedicating The Ravenmocker to the lives that have been lost from CJD.

The Ravenmocker graphic novel is a new, original take on Schaeffer's acclaimed screenplay. Inspired by characters from Schaeffer's upcoming horror anthology I Scream You Scream, which is being produced by Rhodesclosed Productions and Willow Road Entertainment, The Ravenmocker is a story in the spirit of The Silence of the Lambs and Se7en.
