I Need My Ex Back: 3 Tips On How to Avoid An Argument

By: Wordpress

June 2, 2013 - PRLog -- A lot of times, couples talking over certain things can turn into arguments fast.  The tone of your voice, the tone of your partners voice, body language, and more all come into play when it comes to starting an argument. Here are a few great tips on how to avoid a fight.

1. Don’t raise your voice

Raising your voice gives off the impression that you’re trying to talk over your partner, therefore implying that you don’t care about what they say. Most of the times, this results in them yelling as well. Keep your voice calm and tell your partner that you just want to talk it out peacefully.

2. Don’t keep track of your partner’s wrongdoings

I bet you have a mental checklist of things that your partner has done to you that you think is leverage in a fight. Here’s a tip: DON’T MENTION THEM. Bringing up things that your partner has done wrong in a fight will either make them more mad or you will just crush their spirits. Either way it’s a loss for you and it’s easily avoidable.

3.  Be honest

Sometimes bad fights can start from very tiny things, such as little white lies. If your partner asks you something, it is absolutely necessary to be honest! If your partner is asking you something, they’re asking for a reason. It’s possible that they even know the answer already, and are just asking to see if you will be honest with them. Own up to your mistakes, honesty is key.
