Teleseminar Teaches Freelancers & Creative Solopreneurs How to Build a Lasting, Successful Business
On June 12th, freelancer Debra Jason hosts a complimentary teleseminar where she’ll reveal tips and strategies other freelancers & creative solopreneurs can use to build successful businesses AND enjoy a freedom-based lifestyle while doing so.
That’s how Debra Jason started her business in 1989. She had returned to Boulder after a year and a half working at an ad agency in NYC. However, when she returned, Colorado was in a recession and everywhere she interviewed, she heard, “We’re not hiring, but if you were to freelance, we could use your services.”
“A light bulb when off in my head,” explained Debra. “I had always wanted my own business, but didn’t know what it would be. Now, I had an answer. So I grabbed the bull by the horns and on Jan. 1, 1989, my freelance copywriting business, The Write Direction, was born.”
24 ½ years later, and still in business, Debra is going to share her tips, techniques and strategies with fellow creative freelancers and solopreneurs in a complimentary teleseminar on June 12th. Entitled, “From Freelance to Freedom” the call will cover:
• 3 fun ways to get out there & get noticed so clients can find YOU.
• How to enjoy a consistent income so you’re not sweating from gig to gig – worrying about where the next project will come from.
• One simple step you can take that leads to referrals and new business.
• 5 pointers for identifying your ideal clients – they just don't get to choose you, you get to choose them.
• How to find clients from the comfort of your own home (you can do it with your PJs on). TIP: It's something other than social media.
• The best way to market and expose yourself to prospects - without a hard-core sales pitch.
The free call will take place on Weds. June 12th, at 1:00pm MT. To participate, simply sign up at http://fromfreelancetofreedom.com and you’ll receive details on how to dial in.
Having been in business for close to a quarter of a century, there are many things Debra has been doing naturally that a lot of freelancers would love to figure out. “I know because I often receive phone calls and e-mails from freelancers asking me “Debra, what should I charge for this project?” or saying “Debra you’ve been in biz 25 years, were you ever scared? I figure you’re the perfect person to ask for help.”
“I understand what it's like to get a business off the ground. . . get the word out to prospects. . . increase one's visibility in the marketplace. . . keep one's customers coming back again and again,” Debra continued.
As a result on the many inquiries she’s received, Debra has decided to pull back the curtain on her business and offer this special teleseminar where she’ll reveal how other freelancers and solopreneurs can also become seasoned veterans running their own businesses AND enjoy a freedom-based lifestyle while doing so.
“Getting started on my career as a freelancer has felt like a thrilling skydive off Mt. Olympus . . . Debra has helped me find my footing . . . just listening to her experiences and advice, made me grab at hope: I can do this. Have a more seasoned writer explain with such clarity the ins and outs of the business is unquestionably the “write direction” for me to take,” explained Suzanne Blons of Boulder.
Debra has been a featured guest on online teleseminars, webinars, and Blog Talk Radio shows. She presented numerous marketing seminars and workshops privately as well as to members of the Boulder and Kauai Chambers of Commerce, Greater Denver Postal Customer Council, Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association, Cahners Publishing, Rotary Clubs of Hanalei and Kaua`i, Kaua`i Small Business Development Center, and the Kaua`i North Shore Business Council.
Celebrating 24 ½ years in business, as a multi-faceted marketing maven, Debra Jason inspires freelancers, creative business owners and solopreneurs to create a lifestyle business that provides them with flexibility, fun and the freedom to do what they love. As a copywriter and copywriting coach, she inspires her clients to communicate their message in a way that captivates and converts their prospects into loyal, raving fans even if they have been struggling with how to convert their ideas into words in the past.
