ScottMadden Chairs and Presents at SSON’s Shared Services for Finance & Accounting

ATLANTA - May 30, 2013 - PRLog -- ScottMadden, Inc., a general management consulting firm, recently chaired and presented at SSON’s 13th Annual Shared Services for Finance & Accounting conference held on May 20–22, 2013, in Dallas, Texas. This event included various tracks, case studies, and presentations covering the entire spectrum of finance and accounting challenges in shared services. Brad DeMent, partner and finance and accounting practice leader at ScottMadden, served as conference chair.

Mr. DeMent and Trey Robinson, partner at ScottMadden, and Courtney Jackson, director at ScottMadden, presented “Next Generation Finance SSC’s – A Step-by-Step Guide to Creating That Next Level of Value.” This pre-conference workshop discussed how to achieve the next layer of benefits after you’ve pulled the traditional improvement levers and demonstrated savings. The workshop was very interactive and much of the discussion was centered on key success factors when starting major initiatives.

Additionally, Mr. Robinson chaired the tracks “Designing, Building & Implementing Shared Services” on day one and “Ensuring Accounting Excellence” on day two.

“We had a large percentage of first-time conference attendees as well as a mixed audience ranging from those just starting to multi-function Global Business Services. This reinforces the continued growth of the shared services concept as well as the continued expansion of existing operations,” said Mr. DeMent.
