Drivers Enjoy a Quieter, More Efficient Impala

While there are three different engines available to Impala drivers, the 2.5L option features Intake Valve Control Lift Technology that is designed to optimize fuel consumption and generate as much energy as possible from each drop of gasoline. Unlike traditional engines, this model will be able to partially open and close valves to maximize efficiency.

Drivers won't have to worry about a lack of power, however; despite the boosted fuel economy, the 2.5L engine is capable of nearly 200 hp – 196 to be exact – with 186 lb-ft of torque as well. Other automakers would struggle to compare to that kind of power while offering 31 highway mpg like the 2014 Impala.

There is more to Chevrolet's flagship sedan than its engine, however. This is also the debut of the new Chevy MyLink, updated to be more compatible than ever before with the latest in smartphone technology, letting drivers stay connected on the road. Other amenities are included on the new Impala as well, such as proactive safety features, Bluetooth, Pandora internet radio, and more.
