"Masirah Island is no longer a secret spot. We welcome more and more riders who appreciate our service in this stunning area and come back”, said Friesl who lives and works in the Sultanate of Oman since 2007. As there is no flight connection, the guests have to journey 400 kilometers across the desert to reach Masirah. Nevertheless, more and more riders upon themselves this adventure and enjoy empty beaches far away from mass tourism, the unique atmosphere and almost untouched nature on the island which was cut off from the modern world for a long time.
Until September, the kite camp is open on Masirah Island. Kiteboarding Oman offers, among other services, kite courses and a rescue service. During the winter months the schooling moves to the station at Sawadi Beach, about 75 kilometers north of the Omani capital Muscat.
