Jenifer Bloodsworth Makes Broadway Debut with WWE Legend Mick Foley at Carolines

Rising stand-up and improv star ready to take a turn at legendary Carolines in the heart of Times Square
 
NEW YORK - May 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Jenifer Bloodsworth, who has a growing following on New York’s improv and comedy scene, will make her Broadway debut on June 2 at Carolines when she appears with WWE Hall of Famer turned comedian Mick Foley.

Bloodsworth, who has more than 17,500 Twitter followers, recently performed to a sold-out audience at the Peoples Improv Theater, where she was the headliner. She is a writer for the PIT’s house sketch team, National Scandal and performs on several Upright Citizens Brigade-trained improv teams. She has performed extensively throughout New York City and was invited to perform at the Chicago Women’s Funny Fest.

Bloodsworth, whose comedy has been described as “smart and edgy,” and Foley met while both worked for the WWE, where he was one of the star professional wrestlers and she was the company’s first female writer for shows that included Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown. She was a lead writer for WWE’s NXT before leaving to try her hand at stand-up and improv. Foley, a New York Times bestselling author, also left to hone his stand-up skills.

According to Foley, the WWE cameras will be rolling during the June 2 performances.

Carolines on Broadway, in the heart of Times Square, is considered one of New York City’s hot spots and one of the country’s top comedy venues featuring top headlining comedians as Tracy Morgan, Kathy Griffin and Joel McHale.
