John W. Allen, Chief Executive Officer, Greater China Corporation China Leaders Forum 2013

NEW YORK - May 29, 2013 - PRLog -- John W. Allen, Chairman & CEO of Greater China Corporation, will speak at Golden Networking's China Leaders Forum 2013, "Will the Chinese Dream Become Long-term Investors’ Dream or Nightmare?", October 1st, New York City, conference that will examine the political and economic challenges facing China nowadays and the long-term opportunities that will be created in the world’s largest economy by 2016.  

Chairman Allen focuses on issues of global capital markets, emerging markets, technology and entrepreneurial initiative. As a CEO of Greater China Corporation, founding member of the Chinese Cultural Foundation and the China Investment Group, LLC, he is a frequent media commentator on economic issues. He headed the international investment subsidiary of the Bank of Boston and was Assistant to James D. Wolfensohn (former head of the World Bank) at Schroder Bank and Trust. John subsequently became President of the international Securities Exchange Corporation. He served as Trustee of the Soros Open Society Institute and one of three Trustees of the International Science Foundation along with George Soros and Nobel Laureate James Watson.

John was the director of the World Policy Institute, and Advisor to: the Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights (USA), MITC, Neptune and Womensphere. He served as Vice Chairman of the Business Council of the United Nations. Also Chairman of Spring Investment Corporation (a family investment company) and Turtlesnap Ventures (a Venture Capital Incubator).

Mr. John W. Allen received BA from Yale University and MBA from Harvard Business School.
