Ricky Sinclair Prays For Baby No. 59 Trapped In Sewer Pipe

BAKER, La. - May 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Firefighters were called to the residential building in the Pujiang area of Jinhua to rescue the baby, which was trapped in the L-joint of a sewage pipe just below a squat toilet in one of the building's public restrooms. The woman reportedly said she could not afford an abortion and hid her pregnancy from neighbors by tying strips of cloth around her stomach and wearing baggy clothes. The father of the child refused to acknowledge his paternity, police told the paper. The mother told police that Sunday’s delivery came as a surprise. She reportedly went to the fourth-floor public bathroom where she lived as she felt sick and found herself in labor. Not wanting her child, but unwilling to leave him to die in the drain, she reportedly notified a neighbor of sounds coming from the pipes, who then called police to investigate.  

The baby meanwhile – known in China as Baby No. 59 because of his incubator number at the hospital where he was taken to – was reportedly in stable condition.  

“I rejoice in knowing that the precious baby is doing well. Every child is a gift from God and has a purpose on this earth. I also pray that this child will one day know God and allow his birth to be a testimony to lead others to Christ.” Genesis 50:20 states, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.“ This verse is where Joseph is talking to his brothers after they sold him into slavery and God rescued him. The brothers had to go to Joseph in a time of famine. They at first did not realize it was their brother because it had been so many years and when they did they were frighten because of what they had done. Joseph still did them no harm. The principal behind the scripture is that even when the enemy, the Devil, is trying to harm you with different circumstances in your life, God can always work it out for your good.

“I also pray for the parents of the child. I pray that they are not condemned by their own actions and instead God can use this for their good also. I know that this may bring them to salvation and a knowing of the forgiving and loving God. I know that Jesus is waiting for them to turn their lives over to Him and that they too can live a life through forgiveness,” states Ricky Sinclair.
