ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - May 29, 2013 - PRLog -- The House of Music and Entertainment will host hip-hop cover band Too White Crew on June 8, 2013. Too White Crew is a popular Chicago-area hip-hop cover band focused on classic hits from the 1980s and 1990s with the occasional newer song. Doors for the show will open at 9:00 p.m., and the group will take the stage shortly thereafter. There is a $7 cover charge for the event.

Too White Crew focuses their attention on what they consider the golden-era of hip hop, right before gangster rap took hold, though they will cover the a couple numbers from NWA members Eazy-E and Dr. Dre, frequently branching out into the mid and late 90s. Concertgoers can expect to shake it on the dance floor to tracks like “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-a-lot, “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice, and even hear more politically heavy numbers like Public Enemy’s “Fight the Power.”

What separates Too White Crew from other hip-hop cover bands is their live show. They’re much more than MCs playing along to canned tracks. While they do have a DJ who scratches, the MCs and singers are backed by a six-piece live band. The band replicates every sample and track live with an exacting attention to detail, resulting in the ultimate party experience.

Besides the band, singers, and rappers, Too White Crew also makes their live show more fun with the addition of “Fly Girls.” Tasty K, Juicebox, Vitamin V, Hot Wheelz, and D-Train perform choreographed dances during each song and help to get the energy flowing in the room.

No tickets will be issued in advance for the concert. Anyone wishing to attend simply has to pay the $7 cover to get in the door. The bar and restaurant at the House of Music and Entertainment will be open before the concert (they open at 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays), so anyone is welcome to come beforehand to watch sports, eat, drink, and be merry.

The House of Music and Entertainment is located at 1277 North Rand Road in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Please contact H.O.M.E. with any questions about the event through their website or by calling (847) 577-4663.
