What to do with The Astrodome?

Efforts to Repurpose Houston Landmark in Celebration of Entrepreneurialism
By: 3T Funding, LLC

HOUSTON - May 28, 2013 - PRLog -- There’s no doubt about it – the question of what to do with the Astrodome has been on everyone’s mind for years and with recent news from the NFL stating Houston will host the Super Bowl in 2017, the question is even more apparent.

3T Funding, LLC, has teamed with a local cooperative aimed at serving Houston’s thriving entrepreneurial community in an effort to transform The Dome into the world’s first Residence Business Incubator – just as the Astrodome was the first of its kind in its time.  “Houston is already the ‘business start-up capital of the world,’ so let’s convert our beloved Dome into the place to go when you’re starting, acquiring, or moving a business to Houston,” Tim Trae Tindall, owner, founder, and Director of Financial Consulting of 3T Funding explained.

The idea is to have everything one would need to operate a business under one roof.  The proposed one-stop location will feature a full range of on site services including, consultants, restaurants, investors, lenders, lawyers, IT support, office space, and more.  There will even be an extended-stay area for visitors to have accommodations while scoping out the Houston business climate.  Harris County Judge Emmett has given the group a reply stating, “…Many good suggestions have come up, but no one has been able to generate a viable revenue stream.  If no financially viable option is found, the Commissioners Court will have to decide the best course of action using Harris County tax dollars.”  The next step in their venture is raising capital with hopes that the endeavor will be successful and independent of public funding, grants, gifts, donations or contributions.

3T Funding is heading the investment group for this project and is now working diligently to see this plan successfully brought into life.  They’re currently interviewing investors and raising awareness of the proposed repurposing project and fractional ownership shares are available immediately.  “I don’t want to see The Dome torn down and I think transforming this landmark into a fully functioning Residence Business Incubator is the ultimate celebration of Houston’s entrepreneurial spirit and would have a huge, positive impact on our local economy,” Tindall stated.

3T Funding works with small, medium, and large businesses and specializes in commercial real estate loans, equipment leasing, sale leasebacks, heavy equipment leasing and financing, bridge and hard money loans, stock loans, private equity, and more. Tindall has spent his career working with independent and institutional investors, REITs, and brokerage firms in commercial real estate analysis with ARGUS Financial.  A number of years in the commercial banking industry, working with CFOs, controllers, and accounting professionals gave Tindall the experience to achieve optimal profitability and efficiency in all of his projects.
