“The City of Manassas is dedicated to maintain quality water for our citizens, we’re honored to be recognized for our water treatment performance,” Three levels of effectiveness and performance are awarded, including gold, silver and bronze. Manassas earned the silver designation for excellence. The Virginia Department of Health Office of Drinking Water Recognition Program awards water systems that show excellence in performance and operations and for the treatment and distribution of drinking water to the public. This award is earned by those water systems that go above the established water treatment regulations.
