New Guild (NG), An International Pop/Hip-Hop Group From Kazakhstan Prepares For USA TourNew Guild started as a hip-hop group in the early 2000's and was Kazakhstan's first hip hop group. The band transformed several times and redirected it's style slightly to accommodate the much wider commercial appeal of Pop music. The New Guild music is an innovative blend of pop melodies, addictive dance beats and edgy vocal and rap delivery. Ravil Trumov and Nursulu Shaltayeva make up the current lineup of New Guild and bring on additional musicians, as needed, for live shows. The pair have been busy in the studio preparing for their departure to the United States, where they will do promotional TV/Radio appearances in support of their reload Album. New Guild has a series of music videos cut for several of the songs on the album that have been well received by fans. John Steele, Executive producer of UpOrDown Entertainment says of the duo, "Rav and Nursi have put together a slammin' collection of songs. I was out in Almaty back in early 2011 and the things they were recording are right in line with what is happening on the radio today. So in a sense of timing, they really are 18-24 months ahead of their time when creating new material." Steele further says of music makers in Kazakhstan, "They have some incredibly talented producers and writers in Kazakhstan that should be working with the A-list American recording stars." Steele became aware of New Guild in a chance meeting with Nursi. He says of the meeting "When I heard just 2 lines of Nursi singing live, I knew there was magic here. She is by far the most gifted and unique singer I have ever worked with and the fact that she has the ability to write very memorable songs that are Top 40 radio ready, just adds fuel to the fire. I have absolutely no doubt Nursi will be a household name in the United States over the next 24 months. Steele says of Ravil, "Rav is like the will.I.am of Kazakhstan. His inventiveness and creativity are right up there with the best producers in the world. We are fortunate to be able to bring an artist like this to the U.S. audiences. His unique blend of Hip-Hop/Pop music with some Russian and Kazakh musical influence is something that is unique."
