"Bad Dog to Best Friend" Released as an Audiobook by Gityasome Books and Denise van Venrooy

The paperback and eBook were originally published in July 2010 by Gityasome Books, after several dog owners urged author Sharon Delarose to share her trials and tribulations of rehabilitating a troublesome rescue dog. The book blends the rollercoaster story of a rescue dog with training tips.

Sharon teamed up with narrator Denise van Venrooy to produce Bad Dog to Best Friend. Denise had previously played the part of Stacey Rucker in the Doctor Who audiodrama, Master of the Odin. In Bad Dog to Best Friend, Denise played the role of Sharon, whose job it was to rehabilitate Dakota who she had dubbed "the master of dirty tricks."

As Sharon and Denise communicated during the audio production of the book, they discovered that Denise had once lived just a few miles from Sharon in Georgia, in the same city where Sharon and her husband met staff members of world famous dog trainer Victoria Stilwell, an embarrassing story which she shares in the audiobook.

Bad dog Dakota was on the Marley path of destruction when the Delarose family adopted her.
