Become a Vital Warrior against Post Traumatic Stress!

Help our Veterans get the much needed help they need and deserve

LONG BEACH, Calif. - May 24, 2013 - PRLog -- While we don’t always want to talk about it, Post Traumatic Stress is very real and present in the lives of our military men and women. Vital Warrior’s research found that nearly 30 percent of Veterans who served in OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom) and OEF (Operation Enduring Freedom) suffer from Post Traumatic Stress. Of that 30 percent, only half will ever seek treatment. Those that do ask for help are put on a cocktail of pharmaceutical drugs that only mask the issues.

For those that do not seek treatment, the concern is for the quality of theirs and their family’s lives. More alarming is the suicide rate that plagues our Veterans. In 2010, it was estimated that for every 65 minutes an average of about 22 veterans committed suicide each day, according to federal studies. And the numbers keep growing.

Vital Warrior.Org, founded by Retired Navy SEAL, Mikal Vega offers a non-pharmaceutical way to deal with Post Traumatic Stress. If you’ve been watching the weekly show “Ask The Chief” hosted by Vision-Strike-Wear.Com, you will hear Chief Vega recount his personal battle and how he has removed the pharmaceutical drugs from his treatment and applies the eight modalities into his daily life.

His dream to share Vital Warrior with his fellow brothers and sisters is quickly becoming a reality. He is certified to teach TRE (Tension Release Exercises) and is currently undergoing a second level of training in Kundalini Yoga, which he strongly recommends for anyone suffering from any form of acute stress. He currently teaches classes for VetNet/Working Wardrobes.

He is also personally mentoring a group of individuals who are applying the modalities that Vital Warrior offers. Like anything, it takes work and dedication to get to where you want to be. Chief Vega is the first to tell you that you will never be the same as you were before you had PTS but you can learn to overcome daily struggles with its symptoms.

With all that being said and the vast number of our Veterans in need, Vital Warrior has reached out to and received generous donations from its first members (http://vitalwarrior.org/members/) earlier this year and throughout this month, Military Appreciation Month.

As we come up on Post Traumatic Stress Awareness month this June, Vital Warrior will be continuing in its fundraising efforts to raise funds for a Cross Country Mobile Bus Tour anticipated to launch in the Spring of 2014.

Friends, family members and Vital Warrior supporters are urged to donate (http://vitalwarrior.org/donate-now/) towards this milestone and help get Vital Warrior to those that need it most.

Thanks to all for your continued support! You are much  appreciated!
