SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. - May 23, 2013 - PRLog -- The Most Important Science Fiction Films of The 20th Century was slated to be published in May after a delay due to research and editing issues. Now the publication date has been pushed back yet again as the author considers trimming the book down to a saleable size. As it stands, the perfect bound book has exceeded 350 pages at 8.5" x 11". "I got up to 300 pages when I realized that the book in its finished form would be more than 400 pages if I kept in all of the production notes I had already trimmed before," author and Antellus CEO Theresa M. Moore said. "I am now forced to edit once again and reduce the notes to the bare minimum in order to bring both costs and the retail price down to an affordable level."

The book is comprised of the film plot summaries, production notes and other historical data. The entire interior is now text only, since the scope of the number of films included left no room for photographs. Production data, problems and character studies form the bulk of the issue with keeping the size and price low for accessibility by film students, fans and film lovers. "I wanted to list these films as the chief inspirations and influences on contemporary film makers of the 21st century, but did not want to simply rely on the plots alone," Moore said. "I also wanted to impress readers with their significant impact on popular culture." Since the first edit, the author has also had to remove the plot summaries for the books which inspired the films and reduce margin sizes, but the book has remained too big close to publication. Moore added, "I may be forced to reduce the font size to 10 point in order to make the goal." She anticipates that the book will be published once all logistical problems have been resolved. The goal is keep the book's retail price under $35. She also adds that there are spoilers, since the book is also written for readers without access to the internet and she wanted to preserve the films in a literary fashion for posterity.

Theresa M. Moore is the author of 16 books, two of which are no longer in print, and has planned to write 4 more in the next year. Her current projects include the Children of The Dragon series of SF/vampire books, a budding mystery series dubbed Saxon & Hampstead Investigations, Ltd., and a revised edition on the principles of publishing as an independent author. She has also written and published 40 short stories over the years with one currently in the works. Moore publishes under the Antellus imprint.
