Women’s Cycling Team Wins Three Medals in New York State Road Race Championship

Mission in Motion Cycling Team wins silver and two bronze medals in the 2013 New York State Road Race Championship.

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - May 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Mission in Motion Women’s Cycling Team won three medals at the 2013 New York State Championship Road Race held during the Tour de Syracuse on Sunday, May 19.  Delana Spaulding took home the Bronze medal in the women’s Cat 4  for New York State.  Jennifer Corby and  Karen Holm won Silver and Bronze medals respectively for the Masters Women 45+ category.

The road race was held in Tully, NY on the second day of the two day Tour de Syracuse Omnium.  The race for category 4 and masters women was 36 miles long, running along Otisco Lake before climbing into the hills and ending near Song Mountain Ski Resort.

The Mission in Motion Cycling Team donates all money raised from cycling proceeds, race winnings and other fundraising efforts to Lourdes Hospital’s Mission in Motion Mobile Mammography van.  To date, the team has donated over $13,300.  Through event promotions and community development, outreach programs, and racing activities (such as providing volunteers for the Chris Thater Memorial Race), Mission in Motion Cycling Team plays a significant role in the region and its surrounding areas by promoting health awareness, race and bike safety, and physical fitness.
