L.E.K. Consulting Taps Wiley Bell and Thomas Rekart to Join Expanding Healthcare Team

BOSTON - May 23, 2013 - PRLog -- L.E.K. Consulting, a global management consulting firm, today announced that Wiley Bell (http://www.lek.com/consulting-leaders/wiley-bell) has joined the firm as Managing Director, and Thomas Rekart (http://www.linkedin.com/in/tomrekart) has joined as Healthcare Operations Expert. Mr. Bell joins the firm with 30 years’ experience advising CEOs and business leaders of both global 500 and dynamic mid-cap companies. He will be based in L.E.K.’s New York office. Mr. Rekart is a veteran healthcare operations executive, with more than 20 years working in healthcare plans. He will deepen the firm’s healthcare operational and process excellence capabilities, based out of the firm’s Chicago office.

Previously, Mr. Bell was a Partner and head of the healthcare practice at The Parthenon Group. He has also held senior positions at Mars & Co. after beginning his career at Bain & Company. He has more than a decade of healthcare consulting (http://www.lek.com/industries/healthcare-services) experience with an emphasis on payers, providers, and private equity (http://www.lek.com/industries/private-equity) diligence support for healthcare deals and portfolio companies.

Mr. Bell will be responsible for advising clients on a variety of strategic business issues, including healthcare cost effectiveness, G&A optimization, competitive analysis, marketing effectiveness and the retailization of healthcare, where he can also leverage his expertise advising major retail and consumer companies.

Mr. Rekart has also held various executive positions at UnitedHealth Group, a large multi-line health insurance company, including as COO of the Vision, Dental, Life and Disability business unit.
