CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - May 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Jones Angell, the "Voice of the Tar Heels," will join the EV Spectrum Skills Camp to provide play by play commentary for the camp's final basketball game on May 31. The game, a scrimmage in Carmichael Arena, will cap off a four day camp for young adults with developmental disabilities.

The EV Spectrum Skills Camp is organized by volunteers and hosted by Extraordinary Ventures, the Chapel Hill Carrboro Chamber of Commerce's 2012 Nonprofit of the Year. Jones Angell has volunteered to provide commentary as a way of making the experience unforgettable for the participants.

"I'm thrilled to be able to help make this camp even more memorable and exciting," said Angell.

All attendees of the camp will be young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. About 20 campers are expected this year.

"The camp provides a great environment for campers to get out of the house, engage in physical activities and socialize," said organizer Stefan Hansen. "Many of these guys don't have a lot of chances to get out of the house, and we're providing that for them."

The EV Spectrum Skills Camp will take place from May 28 to May 31 at Extraordinary Ventures on South Elliott Road.

The final game featuring Jones Angell will be the morning of May 31 at Carmichael Arena and is open to the public. An awards banquet will follow at Extraordinary Ventures. All campers will receive a trophy and superlative.
