Texas Author Offers Free Children's Kindle Ebook

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - May 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Texas author Trey Watson has announced the release of the seventh book in The Adventures of Mac The Fire Truck series of children's books. Mac The Fire Truck and The Field Fire follows the story of Mac The Fire Truck and his pal Pudgy as they help a farmer out whose field starts burning due to a lightning strike.

"This was inspired by a stretch of road we drove on after a recent vacation," Watson says.  "It was in central Texas-wheat fields on both sides of the road.  Storm clouds were gathering to the west and I started wondering what would happen if that wheat burned."

Watson says that the character was inspired by his son's love of fire trucks. "This is the seventh book in the series, but I guarantee I've told my son at least 1000 Mac The Fire Truck stories."

The entire series is illustrated and 5 of the seven books have rhyming text.  Watson says that Mac The Fire Truck and The Field Fire is the second book in the series without rhyming text.

Mac The Fire Truck and The Field Fire is currently free as an Amazon Kindle ebook.  It will be available a free download through May 25th.
