W. Fred Lenz, P.E. named to GZA GeoEnvironmental's Executive Team as Chief Technology Officer

May 22, 2013 - PRLog -- GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, announces that W. Fred Lenz, P.E. has been named to GZA GeoEnvironmental’s Executive Team as Chief Technology Officer.  In addition, he will be named the Quality Assurance (QA) Officer for GZA’s safety-related nuclear work.
A resident of Monument Beach on Cape Cod, Lenz is a Principal of GZA and previously held the title of Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer since 2003.  Lenz is a licensed professional engineer in ME.  Prior to assuming his technology responsibilities for GZA, he held various operational and marketing positions at GZA.  During that time, he was responsible for overseeing environmental design and remediation projects for both private and government clients.
Prior to joining GZA, Lenz was employed in the Nuclear Power Industry, first at Northeast Utilities as a Nuclear Engineer working on Millstone 1 &2 and then later at Dynatech R & D Company located in Cambridge, MA as a consultant to the industry.
Lenz received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Lafayette College and a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering and the Degree of Nuclear Engineer from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  He also received a Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

His professional activities include involvement with the Society for Information Management, the American Council of Engineering Companies, the American Nuclear Society and the Society for Military Engineers.
