Imbesi Christensen Attorney Brittany Weiner Wins Hearing for Firm's Client Against Hospital

NEW YORK - May 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Attorney Brittany Weiner, an associate of the law firm Imbesi Christensen, successfully represented an employee who was initially denied unemployment benefits by the Department of Labor.

The Honorable Craig Fishkin issued an award, in favor of the firm's client, after an in-person hearing was conducted.  The decision overruled a determination by the Department of Labor that the employee was not entitled to unemployment insurance benefits because she was terminated for misconduct

Specifically, the decision set forth the following:

DECISION: The initial determinations, disqualifying the claimant from receiving benefits effective January 11, 2013, on the basis that the claimant lost her employment through misconduct in connection with that employment...is overruled.

The claimant is allowed benefits with respect to the issues decided herein
