Singletracks.com Names the 10 Best Mountain Bike Trails in Colorado

May 21, 2013 - PRLog -- With mountain bikers getting tuned up for the season in Colorado, Singletracks.com announces its annual list of the top 10 mountain bike trails in Colorado.  The best bike trails are ranked based on visitor ratings and reviews that have been collected continuously since 1999.

The 18 Road trail network in Fruita tops the list and is also rated the top mountain bike trail in the US according to Singletracks.com. Many of the top 10 Colorado trails are clustered in the western and southern portions of the state with three of the top 10 located in Mesa county which is quickly becoming a destination for mountain bikers.  

According to local bike enthusiast and Grand Junction resident Andy Smith, "The combination of technical and flowing trails at Kokopelli along with awesome views of the Colorado River and Bookcliff mountains just make that set of trails a dream location for riders of all abilities." Other trails in the group, like Trail 401 in Crested Butte, also provide riders with fabulous mountain views.

While most of the top 10 Colorado bike trails are free and open to the public, Phil's World is on private land and donations are welcome at the trailhead drop-box.  Note: some portions of the Colorado Trail are not open to mountain bikes.
