MUMBAI, India - May 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Mumbai, May 18, 2013: Event Capital today launched the first ISF36 (India Sport Forum), India’s first B2B and B2C amalgamated sports forum and the most powerful sports business platform in the country. ISF36 will take place over a 36 hour period on May 18-19, 2013 in Mumbai bringing together over 22 leagues and federations, 40 select exhibitors, 1000 delegates and 10,000 visitors and participants. Prof Ratnakar Shetty, Chief Administrative Officer, BCCI was present to give the key note address.

With the largest youth population in the world present in India every element of ISF36 is crafted for young sports professionals and enthusiasts to engage, prod, interact, participate and act on immediate and pertinent issues in the arena of sports business. These 36 hours will fuel and fire the imagination of the Indian Sport Spectrum for the next 360 days. Every panel discussion will be focused towards churning and throwing out honest and sincere solutions. Speakers will address those issues which plague Indian sport today and bind them in a morass of inadequacies and sluggishness. The youth – the beating, pulsating and loud heart of the Indian Sport Diaspora, will be up front and center at ISF 36; at every zone, in every activity, leading all initiatives.

According to Nilesh Kulkarni, Director, ISF36, “India Sport Forum is extremely important because the youth population of India is very high and the power of youth can drive so many things. In sports, with the current affairs and recent week’s update, it’s about time that every youth had their voice communicated across to make people aware of the importance of certain ethics in sports which are relevant and important. It is my belief that India needs this dedicated platform to have a voice in the sports business in India.”

An excerpt from Prof Ratnakar Shetty’s key note address: “Indian sports is at a very important stage with the amount of crisis. No amount of debate on television channels is going to be any difference. It is the youth in India, the younger generation that is the one who will give the results that are required for any sport whether it is anti-corruption or anti-doping or the way sports is run. It is actually participation of the younger generation that will play a very important role for sports in this nation.”

About ISF36:

The age of the YOUTH is upon us. India has the largest youth population in the world - Over 66% of our population  (well over 800 million people) are below the age of 35!

The youth have dreams, hopes and aspirations. All that they need is the right platform. ISF36 is that platform in Sport and it is the active and vibrant participation of the youth that makes it India's most powerful sports business platform. Every element of ISF36 is crafted for the young sport professionals and enthusiasts to engage, prod, interact, participate and act on immediate and pertinent issues in the arena of sports business. It is the young who should have the right to determine their own future.

ISF36 brings together over 22 leagues and federations, 40 select exhibitors, 1000 delegates and 10,000 visitors & participants over a 36 hour period on the 18th and 19th of May 2013 over a 40,000 sq. ft venue at the strategically located Acres Club in Chembur, Mumbai.
