REMODEL OF CHERRY CREEK COWORKING SPACE UNDERWAY – WILL SERVE GROWING NICHE OF WORKERS
Denver, Colorado – Thrive Workplace Solutions has begun remodel construction at 201 Milwaukie Street in Cherry Creek. In the space above the Milwaukie Street Tavern, two brothers, Chad and Charlie Johnson are well on their way to completing their goal of opening a second location for their rapidly growing business. The 9,075 square foot space is being transformed into an innovative, functional coworking space. The brothers have designed and are building out every element of the space themselves. One an experienced architect and the other a killer project manager, the duo is well suited to take the relatively new concept of coworking to the next level. They are going out of their way to include sustainable elements such as re-purposed materials and beetle-kill wood in the construction and are implementing the latest technology in sound masking. Natural lighting, exposed ceilings and beautifully designed architectural details round out the look and feel of the space. A virtual tour is available online at http://williamchad.com/
“We are really excited about the energy of the Cherry oflg Creek neighborhood. We’ve designed the space using innovative concepts not seen in other coworking spaces and feel the coworking model will work well in Cherry Creek. We are looking forward to becoming involved in that community and finding other local business owners to collaborate with.” Say co-owners Charlie Johnson and Chad Johnson.
According to a study conducted by Software Company Intuit, more than 40% of the American workforce will be contingent or mobile workers by the year 2020. That means, contractors, freelancers, and the self-employed will reach a staggering 60 million people.
Traditional office space options are not designed to meet the needs of this demographic – enter coworking. The concept centers around affordable space where members have flexibility as well as the benefits of a collaborative atmosphere.
Thrive is currently signing pre-lease agreements with a projected opening date of late June 2013.
